Hopes began offering university scholarships to refugee women across Jordan. However, there arose a need to include other segments of society.
Since its inception in 2012, Hopes has provided numerous scholarships to refugee women from various nationalities. It’s worth mentioning that the university scholarship covers tuition fees, transportation, and the purchase of university books. Additionally, there is a monthly meeting for scholarship recipients, which includes a reading club and training courses in various fields. Hopes encourages beneficiaries to participate in community activities and volunteerism as a condition for the scholarship.
This project holds significant importance in supporting education and empowering refugee women and other individuals in the community facing difficulties in accessing higher education. Education is considered one of the most important tools for achieving comprehensive development and building a sustainable future. Because of these university scholarships, individuals are empowered to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to achieve their aspirations and improve their social and economic status. Consequently, this project contributes to enhancing equal opportunities for everyone in society and achieving sustainable development.
