Who We Are
Since 2012, Hopes for Training, Education, and Development has been at the forefront of humanitarian and development action in Jordan, working alongside Palestinian, Syrian, and Sudanese refugees as well as underserved host communities.
Rooted in a commitment to dignity, equality, and sustainable opportunity, Hopes designs inclusive programs that unlock potential, expand access to quality education, strengthen economic resilience, and provide essential protection services.
With a particular focus on girls and young women, the organization fosters pathways toward self-reliance, leadership, and long-term stability, driving meaningful, community-led change where it is needed most.
Where We Work
We operate in Jerash Camp, one of the most underserved Palestinian refugee camps in Jordan, where long-standing structural and socio-economic conditions shape the realities of daily life.
Infrastructure Conditions
The camp faces aging water and electricity networks, along with inadequate sewage systems, impacting basic services and public health.
Access to Water
Residents experience limited and irregular access to clean water, creating ongoing challenges for households.
Healthcare Access
Medical services and essential medications remain limited, while mental health concerns continue to grow under prolonged economic pressure.
Education Environment
Overcrowded classrooms, limited resources, and high dropout rates affect the quality and continuity of education for children and youth.
Livelihood Opportunities
Restricted access to formal employment and limited job opportunities contribute to high unemployment and persistent poverty.
Living Conditions
The camp’s small geographic area and dense population result in constrained and overcrowded living spaces.
